What this site does differently

Prices expire on their own

Every price comes from the Amazon Creators API with the date it was checked. Anything older than 48 hours disappears and the button reads 'Check price' instead. The failure mode is silence, never a stale number.

We don't test, and we say so

No test pool, no owned units, no 'in our testing'. Every spec is tagged with its source — manufacturer, retailer listing, owner reports, or not published. Where nobody publishes a figure, we say that rather than estimating.

A published scoring rubric

Five metrics, derived from published figures, with the weights written down. You can disagree with us by checking the arithmetic — which is the point. The score is never emitted as structured data.

Every pick says who should skip it

The most expensive mistake in this category is a capable machine that's wrong for your pool. We name that on every product, including the ones we recommend most.

Read these first

Four pages that will change what you buy. The first two decide whether you should buy anything at all; the second two decide which.

How this site is funded

Robot Pool Cleaner Picks is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you buy something through a link here, we earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That is the whole business model — there are no sponsored placements on this site, no brand pays for a ranking, and no manufacturer sees a page before it publishes.

What that money does not buy is the order of the picks. Several pages on this site recommend the cheaper machine, recommend buying two cheap things instead of one expensive one, or recommend not buying anything — including a guide to doing the job with a net and a brush. Those pages earn us less, and they are the reason the rest is worth reading.
